To the point

I don’t want to write a lot because I know that people just want to get faster to the point. So here it is. Nutrition is super important, if you didn’t already know. Lol. I just wanted to share a few things with you all as the year 2022 has come to an end. 2023 has to be the year you decide to not be afraid to take risks and try new things.

What’s been working?

For starters, I encourage all to drink more water. It’s definitely easier said then done honestly. It is probably one of the hardest habits some people just have a harder time getting accustomed to, yet it is one of the fundamental steps to getting to your healthier version. Start somewhere. One glass, add some lemon or infuse with fresh fruit; whatever works for you. That worked for me when I first started to incorporate more water into my daily hydration. Now it’s just natural for me to drink water, but it took time. Be patient with yourself. It will not happen over night. That’s the beauty of the journey.

The Choice is Yours!


Eating in smaller portions definitely has helped, and to be honest, I am more in-tune with my body, so it’s like learning to speak to your own body and aligning your health goals with your daily affirmations, while changing certain things that need to change can definitely steer you in the right direction. Basically it’s like a mind over matter thing at this point. You have to look in the mirror and say to yourself that you will and that you can and you will be surprised just how much strength you build and will power as well.

Do more than plan

If food prepping is your thing, go for it. Try it even if you never have tried it before. For me, I can’t prep for days, because my family is big and it just cuts into the fridge room. I will start meal prepping for the family, but that will look slightly different than my portioned size meals. I bet if I was to purchase a deep freezer I could prep better, but for now, I find that when I prep on a daily basis I eat healthier for the day and I don’t worry about tomorrow. the main goal is to make the changes to better and healthier decisions concerning your daily intake. That may seem like a small thing, but it is small daily things that get the real job done. One small step in the right direction is better then no steps at all.
