Deviled Eggs
New Recipe
I seem to always want to try new recipes, but always have this crazy habit of making it my own. Don’t get me wrong, Sometimes, I love the traditional way of doing recipes, but in my usual fashion, I did my own thing and created this lovely version of deviled eggs . I did the recipe my way. And let me just say that I was surprised at how good it turned out.
Ingredients
You will need
- Eggs (your choice) I used 3 medium sized ones
- Tuna (I used 1 can)
- Mayo
- Garlic powder
- Sazon packet (just a pinch)
- Honey mustard
- Chia Seeds (sprinkle)
- Sliced almonds
- Salt & pepper to taste
What I did next
After boiling the eggs for about 9-11 minutes in my mini pot, I submerge the eggs in cold water and gently bang the eggs on all sides to crack up the shell. After letting the water seep in slowly, I gently peel them.
I cut the eggs in half and remove the yolks gently to not break the egg whites in the process.
Then I mixed in the ingredients to taste and placed the mixture back inside the egg whites using a spoon. I topped it off with regular hot sauce because I was out of sriracha, but normally I just place one dot of sriracha on each egg, or two. And that’s it. Packed with protein, antioxidants, fiber and much more. This quickly turned into one of my new favorite snacks during the week, besides my all time celery sticks with crunchy peanut butter; which I happened to switch to almond butter as of late.
I enjoyed my deviled eggs while doing homework. I get so cought up and sometimes forget that i need to eat.
It’s not fancy, but delicious!
I looked up so many recipes and was overwhelmed with all the variations that I came across. Then, I quickly realized I didn’t need to be perfect with this. It is such a delicious and quick recipe to make for yourself and your family. The main idea I tried to stick with was what flavors I wanted to experience with this recipe, and It worked. For my taste, this was the winning combination hands down. I will however try to perfect my recipe and perhaps use the piping tool next time. Until then, this recipe will be more than enough for me. They are soooooo filling, and did I mention they are packed with so many nutrients as well as fiber.
Recipes I will love to try
